In addition, McLean appeared on WABC Radio’s The Bernie and Sid Show to talk about the recent announcement from the Library of Congress which added his monumental 1971 hit “American Pie” to the National Recording Registry of 2016. The song joins Judy Garland’s “Over The Rainbow,” N.W.A.’s seminal album, Straight Outta Compton and the Eagles’ 1976 Greatest Hits as aural treasures worthy of preservation as part of America’s patrimony.

McLean will also stop by PBS “MetroFocus”, “Profiles with Mickey Burns,” “Do You Remember,” and will record a segment of CNN’s “Story Behind the Song,” all before he performs at B.B. Kings Blues Club on Thursday evening.
